The new B-Class cuts a fine figure with sporty proportions and distinctive contours. On the inside, too, the sports tourer is stylish, modern and fresh. The Harman Kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system, with its exceptional performance and uncompromising quality adds an extra dimension to the new B-Class and provides stylish entertainment of the very highest sound quality in the city, as well as on longer road trips.

Unique audio pleasure at all seating positions

The speaker configuration has been optimized and further perfected for the new bodyshell and modified spatial conditions. On board is the proven Harman Kardon high-performance DSP amplifier with Logic 7 surround audio processing and 450 watts total system output. It not only generates amazing spatial sound at all seating positions from 5.1 recordings, but also prepares stereo CDs and MP3 files for an enveloping audio experience.

Twelve high-performance speakers make every journey with the new B-Class a musical experience. The basis for this unique audio pleasure at all seating positions was developed by HARMAN acoustic specialists working closely together with Mercedes-Benz development engineers. The exceptionally powerful surround sound system is perfectly set up for the specific acoustic conditions in the sports tourer and takes into account its high level of variability.

The acoustic stage is created by one ALumaprene center midrange speaker on the dashboard and four compact dome tweeters in the bases of the exterior mirrors and in the rear doors. For warm, precise tones, there are four ALumaprene midwoofers in the front and rear doors. Two ALumaprene surround mid-range speakers in the D-pillars define the spatial audio experience on the rear bench. The powerful double voice-coil subwoofer is installed in a closed box in the rear of the vehicle and generates a rich, deep bass foundation. Speed-Sensitive Volume Adjustment ensures consistent sound delivery regardless of road speed. The B-Class is a concert hall on wheels, regardless of route – turning every journey into a sheer audiophile experience.
